Practical Defensive Pistol & Low Ligh Carbine - $125

This is an intermediate to advanced skills course focused on the practical use of the tactical carbine as a primary arm and the pistol as a secondary supporting arm during low light and no light engagements.  There will be a low light lecture focusing on equipment selection and proper use of weapon mounted, hand held tactical lights, and night vision gear (NVG).  You'll need a carbine with a weapon mounted light, tactical sling (2 pt preferred) and at least 5 magazines and a full size duty grade pistol with a weapon mounted light and at least 3 magazines and the load bearing gear to carry this equipment.  You will also need a hand held tactical light and a P.I.D. light.  To actively participate in the NVG block you will need a night vision device (NVD) and night vision capabile aim device (passive RDS or IR laser). Plan for a minimum of 150 rounds rifle and 150 rds pistol.  Safety glasses (clear eye pro for nightime use), ear protection (electronic preferred), ball cap, seasonal appropriate clothing required.  Some loaner equipment is available upon request.  Bring water, sports drinks, and snacks to sustain yourself  for the day with only short breaks.
